Press statement: SASHA Coalition supports Project SkyPower recommendations to boost e-kerosene

Brussels, 24 March 2026: The SASHA Coalition is supporting Project SkyPower’s recommendations in its open letter to the Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport (DG MOVE) of the European Commission (EC), and Member States of the Early Movers Coalition (EMC). The letter follows a two-month industry consultation process, which the SASHA Coalition took part in.

EU Advocacy Manager, Delphine Kaczorowski, said:

“Europe has the potential to deliver more than half of e-SAF global production capacity, and the double-sided auction is an important step in turning that into reality. ReFuelEU Aviation targets are essential to create predictable demand and now we have the opportunity to shape the right tool to unlock supply.

“The mechanism should focus on e-SAF, where the market gap is greatest, rather than further supporting already-advantaged and harmful biofuels. With the right design, this can become a much-needed turning point for European energy sovereignty.”
